Commercial plumbing jobs

Real commercial jobs with full project write-ups.

BUSHWICKCommercial copper rough-in: new build
→
Full plumbing rough-in for a commercial buildout on Flushing Avenue. Threaded copper supply runs, new waste stack connections, and all rough-in work before slab.
ASTORIACommercial Stainless Fixture Install: Food Service Restroom
→
An Astoria food service operator renovating a commercial restroom needed fixtures that would pass a DOH inspection, not residential-grade equipment. We set a floor-mount flange, installed a commercial stainless steel toilet with a commercial flush valve, and roughed in to meet the Department of Health's requirements for commercial food service facilities.
SUNSET PARKFull Commercial Plumbing Rough-In: Warehouse-to-Office Conversion
→
A Sunset Park warehouse-to-office conversion needed full plumbing rough-in before the dropped ceiling closed, we ran copper supply and PVC drain lines overhead across the entire floor plate, connected to the building's main stack, and left properly positioned stubouts at each future fixture location, all permitted and inspected before the GC proceeded with finishes.
GREENPOINTNew Bathroom Tub Rough-In: Mixed-Use Building Addition
→
A Greenpoint mixed-use building conversion was adding a new full bathroom on the second floor where none had existed before. With metal stud framing going up and the ceiling still open, we roughed in the tub waste and overflow, positioned supply for the valve, and set the tub before framing closed around it. Getting the rough-in right before framing is the only way to avoid expensive tearout later.
MASPETHFloor Drain Rough-In: Concrete Slab Commercial Conversion
→
A Maspeth industrial building converting warehouse space to commercial use needed new floor drains added to a concrete slab, which meant core drilling, setting drain bodies, and connecting to the existing waste line below. We handled the full slab rough-in, including flange setting and slope to drain, before the new concrete pour covered everything.
BEDFORD-STUYVESANTABS Waste Line Replacement: Pre-War Commercial Building
→
Failed cast-iron drain branches in a Bed-Stuy pre-war commercial building were causing recurring backups and visible corrosion through the brick wall. We replaced the deteriorated sections with new ABS waste lines run along the exposed brick, added proper cleanouts, and connected back to the main. No jackhammering required, the new runs are surface-mounted and fully accessible for future service.

Questions from GCs and property managers

Do you coordinate directly with the GC on commercial plumbing rough-ins?

Yes. We communicate directly with the site super on inspection timing, sequencing with concrete and framing trades, and schedule conflicts. Most of our commercial plumbing work is scheduled through the GC. We are reachable throughout the job, not just at the start and end.

Do you pull DOB permits for commercial plumbing work?

Yes. We file permits and schedule DOB rough-in inspections directly. On commercial jobs, permits are not optional — they protect the GC and the building owner. We handle the filing so the GC's schedule is not held up waiting for permit paperwork.

What commercial plumbing work do you handle in Brooklyn and Queens?

New construction rough-ins, commercial tenant buildouts, warehouse and industrial conversions, multi-family building replumbs, commercial drain and waste line installation, grease trap connections, and manifold systems for multi-stall restrooms. We size systems for the fixture schedule, not a residential rule of thumb.

Can you provide certificates of insurance for a commercial job?

Yes. Certificates of insurance are available on request and can be issued naming the GC or property owner as additional insured. Licensed NYC Home Improvement Contractor, DCWP 2126225.

How do you handle a partially completed rough-in from a previous plumber?

We assess what exists before continuing. On commercial jobs we check sizing against the fixture schedule, inspect all existing connections, identify anything that would fail inspection, and give the GC an honest picture before we commit to a timeline. We do not continue work that will fail the DOB rough-in inspection.
