In a gas water heater, the two most common sudden failures are a tripped thermocouple (pilot goes out and won't relight, or the thermocouple itself has failed) and a burned-out heating element in electric units. For a tank-style gas heater, check whether the pilot is lit. If it's out and won't relight, the thermocouple replacement is a straightforward same-day repair. If the pilot is lit but the burner isn't firing, or if the unit is more than 12–15 years old, a replacement is usually more economical than repair.
Yes. We do commercial rough-ins, restroom installations, and drain and supply work for commercial properties in Jamaica and throughout Queens. Commercial jobs are scoped differently from residential — we'll assess the space, review permit requirements, and provide a written estimate with timeline before any work starts.
