Yes. Mechanical HVAC work in NYC requires DOB permits when it involves new or modified piping systems, mechanical rooms, or equipment with fuel connections. We file permits and schedule inspections. We can also coordinate with a registered MEP engineer when the scope requires stamped drawings.
Yes. On commercial jobs we work directly from mechanical drawings. We review the drawings for field conditions before starting and flag conflicts with structure or other trades before they become change orders.
Yes. Two-pipe and four-pipe fan coil systems, hydronic baseboard and radiant in commercial spaces, boiler feed and return piping, expansion tanks, balancing valves, and variable-flow distribution systems. Most of the pre-war commercial buildings in Brooklyn and Queens have hydronic heat that needs periodic replumbing as systems age.
We communicate directly with the site super on sequencing — particularly with structural steel, electrical rough-in, and ceiling framing. Piping conflicts with structure and electrical are the most common cause of HVAC delays on commercial jobs. We identify clashes early and work out routing before the runs are in place.
Send us the scope or call. We'll review the drawings and give you a number.
