We serve all these areas too.
Yes, that's a significant part of our East Williamsburg work. Loft conversions involve drain routing through concrete slabs or overhead in steel-framed bays, new supply rough-ins, and often HVAC mechanical work — all in buildings that weren't designed for residential plumbing originally. We've done commercial rough-ins and residential fixture installations in these buildings and understand the structural and inspection requirements involved.
Cast iron from the 1890s–1920s can last well over 100 years if it's sound, but it can also develop internal scale buildup, root intrusion at joints, and cracked sections from building movement. A camera inspection tells you which situation you're in — if the pipe is structurally intact, snaking or hydro-jetting will restore flow. If sections are cracked or severely scaled, a targeted replacement of the bad sections is more cost-effective than cleaning something that will fail anyway.
